From: Kala Art InstituteField Notes by Nicole Dikon
Kala is thrilled to present Nicole Dikon's installation, Field Notes, in the Milvia Windows exhibition space at 211 Milvia St. in Downtown Berkeley.
I am the unbeliever meandering in fantasy that I pray will become our future -Nicole Dikon
Field Notes is an installation that explores the garden labyrinth as both a psychological space and a symbolic foraging landscape for imagining new futures. Together, the works suggest that transformation is not linear—but found in the pause, the turn, the quiet act of gathering.
Nicole Dikon is a visual artist and printmaker based in San Francisco. Her work explores the interdependence between land, care, and memory through woodcut printmaking, painting, poetry and large-scale installation.
