AUSTIN (Oct. 15, 2025) – Planet Fitness – one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand – is expanding its Texas footprint.
In November, Planet Fitness Austin (Lake Creek) is expected to open at 13729 N Hwy. 183, Unit 1200, Austin, TX 78750, in the Lake Creek Festival shopping center. The 21,000-square-foot facility will be Planet Fitness’ first Austin club with an expanded Strength Zone (featuring half racks, free weights, and plate-loaded machines) and dedicated turf training area.
It also will feature state-of-the-art cardio equipment, a cross-training area with kettlebells, TRX suspension bands and battle ropes; numerous flat screen televisions, a Black Card Spa® for PF Black Card® members, free fitness training included in all memberships and additional amenities.
Online pre-registration is now available at www.planetfitness.com/gyms/austin-lake-creek-tx, with introductory specials available until the club officially opens. Austin (Lake Creek) members can join with no commitment for $1 down for either:
● the Classic Card membership at $15/month (once the club opens), which includes unlimited access to your home club, OR
● the PF Black Card® membership at $24.99/month (once the club opens), which includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,700+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states and access to the Black Card Spa®, among other benefits.

The new club will be Excel’s third location in Northwest Austin, joining Leander and Cedar Park. With a Manor location expected to open by year end, Excel will own and operate 14 clubs in Austin and a total of 81 in Texas.
